ToyPic Community presents the action figures photography Olympics 2021

Starting this summer on July 16, there is a special event about toy photography called the TCP Olympics. This event is created by the toypic_community on instagram. If you are a fan of creativity, art and of course toys, this is an event you don’t want to miss. TechVidPlay has the pleasure to work directly with the TCP community to make sure you are up to date for this event.

Here is an interview with the creator of the community and what you can expect for this event.

Tell us about ToyPic Community.

ToyPic Community (@toypic_community) is a place where we showcase and highlight toy photographers/ collectors/ customizers from around the world. Founded in 2019 by Otto Riesenberg, the mission of this Instagram page is to share and promote the creativity, talent, and passion of the toy photographer community.

What are the TCP Olympics?

The TPC OlymPics is a worldwide event where teams of 7 people represent their country and compete in a fun and friendly event against teams from other countries.

The 2021 TPC OlymPics will be the largest event held, with 24 teams participating from 18 different countries (some countries have more than one team). This year we will have 3 Divisions of 8 teams that will take place over 7 days. This event will start on July 16 – August 5 following by the Medal Round.

The countries that are participating this year are:

  • Canada – 2 teams
  • Colombia
  • Denmark
  • France
  • India – 2 teams
  • Jamaica
  • Peru – 2 teams
  • USA – 3 teams
  • Argentina – 2 teams
  • Chile
  • Indonesia
  • Mexico
  • Brazil
  • Malaysia
  • Philippines
  • Puerto Rico
  • South Korea
  • Turkey

What are the rules of the OlymPics and how the winner is selected?

Each day will be a different Olympic sports theme with a different member of each team creating a toypic that represents that sport. The 7 sports being “played” this year are:

  • Basketball
  • Swimming
  • Volleyball
  • Pole Vaulting
  • Weightlifting
  • Archery
  • Running

It is important to think of the @toypic_community page as the stadium where the teams compete. Photos from each team will be featured on the page and the audience of over 23,000 people will vote for their favorite photos. 1 Like = 1 Vote.

For example, Day 1 will be Basketball, so all the Basketball photos will be featured that day. Day 2 will be Swimming, so all the Swimming photos will be featured that day. And so on.

The team with the most cumulative votes after 7 days will win their Division and then compete in the “Medal Round.” One team will win Gold medals, one Silver, and one Bronze.
